The Client
ECC is a nonprofit organization that supports the ex-patriot maritime community who have left their home provinces to work in larger commercial cities. ECC promotes "brain circulation" - allowing both Atlantic Canada and Toronto to benefit from the best of what each region has to offer through the free flow of capital, knowledge and creativity.
The Process
We worked closely with the ECC team since the very beginning of the organization in 2007. Foster Interactive originally produced a smaller basic website for the organization just before ECC was officially launched.
Victims of their own success, it quickly became clear that their organization was growing and would need something more sophisticated then a 7 page website. They needed a website which would include content relevant to Atlantic Canadians and also allow those visitors to participate in a dialogue with the community.
Project Features:
- Drupal Based CMS website allows the client to change all the content in the site.
- Visitors may post their own local events.
- Various authors post content which is approved by the site editor before being published.
- Partner sponsor organizations are able to post careers to the site.
- Detailed user reporting with Google Analytics.
Foster Interactive developed my organization's web site quickly and professionally. They provide excellent guidance & implemented the site ahead of schedule. This is the second project I have worked on with them and it will definitely not be the last.
